The Bihar Electricity Regulatory Commission (BERC) has approved the procurement of 600 MW of solar power (Tranche VIII) by the state distribution companies (DISCOMs) from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for 25 years at a tariff of ₹2.50 (~$0.031)/kWh and a trading margin of ₹0.07 (~$0.0008)/kWh.
