Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, is a key business hub in the state, offering strong potential for clean energy market growth. With an established reputation as a leading city for residential rooftop solar, Lucknow’s next phase of solar growth could come from the commercial and industrial (C&I) segment.

Terra Clean, a wholly owned subsidiary of Indian Oil Corporation, invited bids to aggregate land for a solar project in Gujarat. The project entails land aggregation for a 300 MW interstate transmission system-connected solar project near the 220 kV Bhalgamda GETCO substation in Gujarat’s Morbi district.

The Reserve Bank of India’s decision to raise the repo rate by 25 basis points raised concerns among renewable energy developers over higher financing costs and their potential impact on project economics. The RBI raised the policy repo rate under the liquidity adjustment facility from 5.25% to 5.50%.

The Solar Energy Corporation of India invited bids to select developers to set up grid-connected rooftop solar power projects on New Delhi Municipal Council buildings under the Renewable Energy Service Company model (RTSPV Tranche-XV). The aggregate capacity of solar projects is 3,680 kW, and these will be installed at 29 locations.

The Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board invited bids to provide electrical infrastructure and power supply for a green hydrogen plant being developed by HPPCL-Oil at Village Nasrali, including strengthening the existing 33 kV green ply feeder from the 66/33/11 kV Baglehar substation.

The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission, in a recent judgment, left it to the solar developer and the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company to decide on the extensions to the Scheduled Commencement of Supply Date and financial closure deadlines for 730 MW of grid-connected solar projects under the Maharashtra government’s program to solarize lift irrigation systems.

The Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission dismissed a petition challenging the levy of 15% supervision charges and a ₹100,000 (~$1,033) connectivity fee on a 1 MW solar project developed under the state’s Small Scale Distributed Solar Projects policy.

The Jharkhand State Electricity Regulatory Commission allowed a coal mining company to inject power from its 1.882 MW rooftop solar project at Belgaria Township Phase-I into the existing 11 kV network.

Ionage, an artificial intelligence-based charging and energy management platform for electric vehicles, raised $1.3 million in pre-series A funding. The funding round was led by strategic investors and a consortium of CXOs from energy and infrastructure companies.
