Juniper Green Energy, Jakson Green, and RIH Renewables (EDF Renewables) won Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam’s (GUVNL) auction to supply power from 200 MW grid-connected wind power projects in India (Phase VIII). The tender was floated in July this year for a capacity of 500 MW. GUVNL later reduced the capacity to 200 MW. Juniper won 50 MW at a tariff of ₹3.56 (~$0.0424)/kWh. RIH Renewables won 40 MW at a tariff of ₹3.59 (~$0.0427)/kWh. Jakson quoted a tariff of ₹3.63 (~$0.0432)/kWh to win 50 MW. The project’s scope covers setting up the wind power projects and connecting the transmission network with the central/state transmission utility network.
