The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s decision to extend the deadline for central financial assistance claims for legacy rooftop solar projects could help consumers, vendors, and distribution companies settle pending applications.

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) announced the winners of the auction to supply 900 MWp of domestic-content-requirement-compliant solar modules for projects in Radhanesda, Gujarat, under Tranche III of the Central Public Sector Undertaking Scheme.

The Gujarat Energy Research and Management Institute invited bids to develop 4.153 MW of grid-connected solar projects. The tender, floated on behalf of the Gujarat Water Supply and Sewerage Board, comprises 3.504 MW of rooftop solar and 649 kW of ground-mounted solar across 151 sites in 12 districts of Gujarat. The last date to submit bids is September 30, 2026.

The Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) invited bids for an annual rate contract for solar projects at various locations in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The project covers grid-connected rooftop and ground-mounted solar systems aggregating 1,000 kWp at AUDA facilities, including offices, auditoriums, water distribution stations, and pump houses. The last date to submit bids is September 25, 2026. Bids will be opened on September 28.

The U.S. Department of Commerce finalized high antidumping and countervailing duties on the import of solar cells from India, Indonesia, and Laos, holding that the exporting companies were benefiting from government subsidies in their countries.
