The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) recently heard the petition of the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) to relax penalty for unmet renewable purchase obligation (RPO) targets and deciding tariff for procurement of power from renewable energy sources post expiry of energy purchase agreements (EPAs).
