India’s Power Supply Deficit Was 0.7 Percent in FY2016-17

India recorded a low power supply deficit of 0.7 percent in the financial year (FY) 2016-17. More than 1,134,631 million units of electricity were produced, which was 7,461 million units less than the targeted 1,142,092 million units, according to the Central Electricity Authority (CEA).
