Pune-based precision transmission components manufacturer JAL Precision Products has installed a 500 kW rooftop solar power project, which is expected to generate up to 750,000 units of electricity annually.

The rooftop solar project will help JAL Precision increase the share of renewable energy in its operations and reduce dependence on grid power.

The company hired B. U. Bhandari Energy for engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning of the project.

The rooftop solar project is expected to reduce JAL Precision’s grid electricity consumption by 40% to 45%. and offset nearly 600 to 650 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually.

The system uses 884 high-efficiency NOVASYS solar modules, Growatt inverters, and an E-Senz fixed-tilt mounting structure.

Following the commissioning of the rooftop project, JAL Precision roped in B. U. Bhandari Energy to execute a 4 MW solar project through the company’s open access solar park.

B.U. Bhandari Energy said the project demonstrates its ability to deliver renewable energy solutions for industrial consumers with measurable cost and sustainability benefits.

The rooftop project and the upcoming open access capacity strengthen the partnership between B. U. Bhandari Energy and JAL Precision, with solar adoption supporting both operational savings and emission reductions.

The company recently installed two rooftop solar systems totaling 705 kW for Pune Polymers, a manufacturer of plastic components, across its manufacturing facilities in Maharashtra.

It also commissioned a 2.5 MW rooftop solar project for textile firm Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing Company at its Rasayani facility in Maharashtra.

JAL Precision’s operations are spread across sectors like automotives, aerospace, hydraulics, marine, and oil and gas.

Mercom India organizes nationwide C&I Clean Energy Meets to bring solar developers and commercial and industrial businesses exploring clean energy adoption onto a common platform.

The next event in the series will be held in Hyderabad on August 21, 2026.
