Enerjisa Enerji Üretim, a joint venture involving Türkiye’s Sabanci Holding and Germany’s E.ON, plans to invest approximately TRY438 million (~$830.94 million) in a 30 MW solar power facility integrated with 40 MWh of battery storage in southern Türkiye. The project will support mining operations associated with the Tufanbeyli thermal power plant in Adana province, with installation planned within one year. The solar and battery energy storage system will be developed in the Tufanbeyli district and operate entirely off-grid. The project is designed to supply electricity directly to the associated industrial operations rather than relying on the national grid for its power supply.

Egypt-based solar energy and water technology startup NoorNation raised $1.05 million in seed funding from agribusiness group Leena Farms, Africa-focused climate technology investor Catalyst Fund, and Saudi venture capital firm KBW Ventures. The investment formalizes a partnership under which NoorNation will develop five solar power projects totaling 1.1 MW across Leena Farms’ agricultural operations in Bahariya Oasis and Minya, Egypt.

Egypt’s National Council for Green Hydrogen approved a one-year extension of its MoU with Saudi Arabia-based ACWA Power for the proposed East Nile green hydrogen project, which is expected to produce 66,000 tons of green hydrogen and 500,000 tons of green ammonia annually. The Council also approved allocating a 12 sq. km plot in West Zaafarana to India-based ACURE to develop a 600 MW solar project to power the pilot phase of its green ammonia project. The initial phase is expected to produce 100,000 tons of green ammonia annually. The project’s production capacity is planned to expand to 1 million tons per year through subsequent phases.

A consortium led by Oman-based Mubbadrah Investment plans to develop a $3 billion (~€2.68 billion) artificial intelligence and green computing data center complex in the country’s Salalah region. The proposed project will have a targeted capacity of 400 MW and will be supported by solar power and battery energy storage. The consortium also includes financial advisory firm Sustopia Capital, hyperscale and AI data center infrastructure provider Vela Tech, and UAE-based renewable energy developer O2 Global Energy. The planned investment will cover the data center’s core infrastructure, including facilities, power and cooling systems, grid connectivity, and fiber-optic networks.
