The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has clarified that rooftop solar projects on government buildings awarded through bidding after August 31, 2025, or commissioned on or after June 1, 2026, without an approved exemption, must use solar cells from the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List II.
