The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) recently approved the procurement of 385.3 MW of solar power under the ‘Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana’ and allowed the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) to enter into power purchase agreements (PPAs) with the successful bidders for 25 years.
