In an interview on the sidelines of the Mercom India Renewables Summit 2026 held in New Delhi on July 1 and 2, Hardip Singh, Chief Operating Officer at Grew Solar, said India’s module manufacturing capacity rose only because of the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) mandate. He said the industry has been sufficient given enough time to prepare for the ALMM requirement for ingots and wafers which will come into effect from June 2028.
