Premier Energies Global Environment, a subsidiary of Premier Energies, has commissioned a 5.6 GW G12 R TOPCon solar module manufacturing facility in Seetharampur, Ranga Reddy district, Telangana.

With this commissioning, Premier’s total solar module manufacturing capacity stands at 11.1 GW.

Premier said the facility can manufacture four G12R TOPCon modules every 16 seconds.

The facility will incorporate AI-powered fault detection to identify and correct defects in real time.

Integrating TOPCon technology with zero-busbar architecture will enable Premier to deliver high-performance solar modules with higher energy yield, reduced optical losses, and improved durability.

The company also plans to expand its cell manufacturing capacity to 10.6 GW.

Premier Energies has also allocated ₹125 billion (~$1.3 billion) in capital expenditure over the next three years to more than double its solar manufacturing capacity, expand backward integration into ingots and wafers, and diversify into inverters, transformers, and battery systems.

In January 2026, Premier Energies announced the commissioning of a 400 MW solar photovoltaic cell manufacturing facility at its E-City plant in Maheshwaram, Telangana, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Premier Energies Photovoltaic.

In 2025, Premier Energies commissioned a 1.2 GW tunnel-oxide-passivated-contact solar cell manufacturing line in Hyderabad, Telangana.

In the third quarter of the financial year (FY) 2026, Premier Energies reported a revenue of ₹19.36 billion (~$211.4 million), a 13% year-over-year increase from ₹17.13 billion (~$187.1 million).

Aligned with its target of diversifying its business, Premier Energies announced last year that it would acquire the solar inverter manufacturer KSolare Energy and the power transformer manufacturer Transcon Industries.

In the same year, Premier Energies entered into a joint venture agreement with Taiwan-based Sino-American Silicon Products to manufacture and sell silicon solar wafers in India.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy expanded the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) by adding 11,035 MW of solar module capacity. The cumulative module manufacturing capacity under ALMM now stands at 173,144 MW.
