Hyderabad-based solar module and cell manufacturer Premier Energies has inaugurated a 5.6 GW zero-busbar solar module manufacturing facility in Seetharampur, Telangana.

The company also performed the groundbreaking ceremony for a 6 GWh battery energy storage manufacturing facility and an aluminum frame manufacturing plant with an annual production capacity of 18,000 metric tons on the same premises.

The Seetharampur manufacturing facility, spanning 75 acres, increased Premier Energies’ module manufacturing capacity to 11.1 GW.

According to Premier Energies, the facility is equipped with G12R TOPCon module manufacturing lines. The company said the facility incorporates automated guided vehicle-enabled material-handling systems and artificial-intelligence-powered quality-inspection systems.

Premier Energies claims that its production lines can manufacture one solar module every four seconds.

In March 2026, Premier Energies commissioned a 5.6 GW G12 R TOPCon solar module manufacturing facility in Seetharampur.

Premier Energies said it is expanding its manufacturing footprint across the clean energy value chain, including investments in ingot and wafer manufacturing, battery energy storage systems, inverters, transformers, and aluminum components.

As of this April, Premier Energies has commissioned a 1.4 GW TOPCon module manufacturing line and has set a target to achieve 10 GW of integrated capacity across ingots, wafers, cells, and modules by the financial year (FY) 2028. In addition to its core solar manufacturing business, the company is entering adjacent segments.

It plans to roll out 12 GWh of battery energy storage system capacity, with an investment of about ₹6 billion (~$63 million) by FY 2027. It is also setting up 3 GW of solar inverter manufacturing capacity with an investment of ₹1.5 billion (~$16.23 million) to ₹2 billion (~$21.63 million).

Premier Energies secured orders to supply 1,600 MW of solar cells and modules, worth ₹25.77 billion (~$278.8 million) in the fourth quarter of FY 2026.

In January, Premier Energies announced the commissioning of a 400 MW Mono PERC cell manufacturing facility at Maheshwaram, Telangana, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Premier Energies Photovoltaic.
