In an interview on the sidelines of the Mercom India Renewables Summit 2026 held on July 1 and 2 in New Delhi, Nimish Jain, Executive Vice-President at Vikram Solar, said Indian manufacturers will face a challenge in getting adequate skilled manpower for ingot and wafer manufacturing. He felt that the industry, academia and the government must work together to bridge the talent gap. He also said there is a need for better synchronization between project development and power transmission infrastructure development.
