Government agencies stepped up solar tendering activity in the third quarter (Q3) of 2026, reversing the previous quarter’s slowdown. Auction activity, however, declined from the prior quarter, pointing to a gap between new tender announcements and awarded capacity. Despite the quarterly rebound, tendering remained well below year-earlier levels, according to Mercom India’s Solar Tender Tracker.
