Suzlon’s Q4 Revenue Up 45% YoY, Wind Turbine Sales Soar

Wind turbine manufacturer Suzlon Energy reported a revenue of ₹54.68 billion (~$571.89 million) in the fourth quarter (Q4) of the financial year, a 44.9% year-over-year (YoY) increase from ₹37.74 billion (~$394.71 million).

Profit after tax (PAT) declined by 5.7% to ₹11.14 billion (~$116.51 million) from ₹11.81 billion (~$123.52 million) in the same quarter last year.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) increased 39.1% YoY to ₹9.64 billion (~$100.82 million) from ₹6.93 billion (~$72.48 million).

Suzlon’s earnings per share (EPS) came in at ₹0.81 (~$0.008), compared to ₹0.86 (~$0.0089) in the same quarter of the preceding year.

In Q3 FY 2026, its revenue rose by 42.4% YoY to ₹42.28 billion (~$467.44 million).

In FY 2026, Suzlon reported revenue of ₹166.79 billion (~$1.74 billion), a 53.7% YoY increase from ₹108.51 billion (~$1.13 billion).

PAT stood at ₹31.63 billion (~$330.81 million), a 52.7% YoY increase from ₹20.72 billion (~$216.70 million).

EBITDA increased 62.7% YoY to ₹30.22 billion (~$316.06 million) from ₹18.57 billion (~$194.22 million).

The company’s EPS came in at ₹2.31 (~$0.024) against an EPS of ₹1.51 (~$0.015) last year.

Business Highlights

Suzlon reported record annual sales of its wind turbine generators at 2,456 MW in FY 2026, up 58.5% from 1,550 MW in FY 2025. In Q4, sales stood at 830 MW, a 44.9% YoY jump from 573 MW.

The company’s order book stood at approximately 5.9 GW, with 66% of orders from public sector undertakings and commercial and industrial sectors.

Suzlon’s cumulative order intake was approximately 9 GW for its S144 wind turbines.

Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman at Suzlon Group, said that the world has entered the age of electricity, where energy security is accelerating the shift towards renewables driven by domestic energy availability. At the same time, India is witnessing strong growth in peak power demand, increasing the strategic importance of wind energy in enabling reliable FDRE solutions.

Suzlon’s wind turbine generator business has delivered 55% compound annual growth rate over the last three years.

The Suzlon Group has 21.7 GW of wind energy capacity installed across 17 countries. It has an installed base of over 15.7 GW of assets in India and an additional ~6 GW installed outside India. Its portfolio includes the advanced 2.x MW to 6.x MW series of wind turbines.

According to Mercom India Research, India added nearly 1.6 GW of wind power capacity in Q1 of the calendar year 2026, up 14% quarter-over-quarter from 1.3 GW. The capacity additions fell 16% YoY from 1.8 GW.
