<p><strong>rPlus Energies, a U.S.-based renewable energy developer, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/rplus-energies-acquires-900-mw-of-solar-and-storage-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the acquisition of two solar and storage projects in Ada County, Idaho</strong>. The projects, Blacks Creek Energy Center and Bluebird Solar, together represent a combined 900 MW of solar and storage capacity. The Blacks Creek Energy Center project was acquired from Qcells, a utility-scale solar and energy storage project developer and provider of solar engineering, procurement, and construction services. The Bluebird solar project was acquired from Mission Clean Energy, a utility-scale renewable energy and storage developer.</p>
<p><strong>European Energy, a renewable energy project developer, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/european-energy-secures-44m-financing-for-hybrid-solar-storage-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>secured</strong></a><strong> €37.9 million (~$43.89 million) long-term project financing for the development of a hybrid solar and energy storage project</strong> in the municipality of Saldus, Latvia. The solar project is also co-owned by European Energy and Sampension. The project consists of a 65 MW solar and a 92 MWh battery energy storage system across approximately 96 hectares.</p>
<p><strong>Aukera, a Europe-based renewable energy developer and independent power producer, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/aukera-secures-70m-financing-250-mw-500-mwh-storage-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> a €60 million (~$70 million) debt facility from Kommunalkredit Austria for the development and construction of its stand-alone battery energy storage project in Romania. The 250 MW/500 MWh battery storage project, located in Gura Ialomitei, Ialomita County, is planned for delivery in two phases. Phase 1 is currently under construction, and the whole project is expected to reach commercial operation by mid-2026.</p>
<p><strong>Octopus Australia, an energy fund manager and developer, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/octopus-australia-secures-financing-300-mw-solar-storage-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>secured</strong></a><strong> A$900 million (~$588 million) in financial closure for its Blind Creek Solar Farm and Battery project</strong>, located in Bungendore, New South Wales, Australia. The project consists of 300 MW of solar energy, along with a 243 MW/486 MWh battery. It is backed by Octopus Australia funds, which include funding from Hostplus, Rest Super, the Clean Energy Finance Corporation, Westpac Private Bank, and infrastructure company APG.</p>
<p><strong>Enlight Renewable Energy, a renewable energy independent power producer and developer, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/enlight-secures-1-44b-debt-financing-for-snowflake-a-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> that its U.S. subsidiary Clēnera Holdings </strong>entered into a debt financing agreement for its Snowflake A project located near Holbrook, Arizona. The Snowflake A project combines 600 MW of solar with 1,900 MWh of energy storage. The project is expected to achieve commercial operations by the second half of 2027. Once operational, it will produce enough energy to power nearly 110,000 homes in Arizona.</p>

<p><strong>Lightsource bp, a renewable energy project developer, and Pinnacle Financial Partners </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/lightsource-bp-secures-97-9-m-tax-equity-financing-187-mw-solar-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the closing of $97.9 million tax equity financing</strong> for the 187 MW Peacock Solar project located in San Patricio County, Texas. The partnership marks their second transaction and Pinnacle’s first production tax credit equity investment, reflecting the growing momentum in renewable energy financing in the U.S.</p>
<p><strong>Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, a fund manager within greenfield energy investments, on behalf of its fund Copenhagen Infrastructure IV, has </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/cip-sells-50-stake-in-coalburn-2-battery-project-to-aip-management/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>entered</strong></a> into an agreement to divest a 50% ownership stake in the Coalburn 2 project to funds managed by AIP Management, an investor that specializes in energy and decarbonization infrastructure. The Coalburn 2 project, located in South Lanarkshire, southern Scotland, is a 500 MW/1,000 MWh lithium-ion storage project currently under construction.</p>
<p><strong>Singapore-based renewable energy platform, Blueleaf Energy, and Noida-based Jakson Green have </strong><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/blueleaf-jakson-reach-financial-close-for-840-mw-solar-projects" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the financial close</strong> of 840 MW ground-mounted solar projects in Bikaner, Rajasthan. This capacity comprises a 280 MW and a 560 MW project. These projects are part of the $400 million 1 GW solar project portfolio in Rajasthan, for which Blueleaf and Jackson had partnered in January this year. This portfolio also includes the under-construction 140 MW solar project in Bhawad, scheduled for commissioning this year.</p>
<p><strong>Aukera, a Europe-based renewable energy developer and independent power producer, has </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/aukera-secures-16-million-financing-for-two-solar-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>secured</strong></a><strong> €14 million (~$16.28 million) in senior financing</strong> for the development of its Erisweiler I and II solar projects, totaling 37.48 MW in Germany. Volksbank Sauerland eG provided the funding for the projects. Capcora acted as the exclusive financial advisor for the transaction.</p>
<p><strong>Greenflash, a Houston-based energy infrastructure company focused on the acquisition, development, financing, ownership, and operation of grid-scale energy assets</strong>, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/greenflash-acquires-200-mw-400-mwh-battery-storage-project-in-texas/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> the acquisition of the 200 MW/400 MWh Rock Rose stand-alone battery energy storage project. The project was acquired from Advanced Power, a renewable energy project developer that owns and operates solar and storage projects. The project, located in Fort Bend County, Texas, is expected to receive Notice to Proceed in 2026 and commence commercial operations by mid-2027.</p>

Project Finance Brief: Lightsource bp Secures Tax Equity Financing for 187 MW Solar Project

<p><strong>Torus, a Utah-based energy storage solutions provider, has </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/torus-secures-200m-from-magnetar-to-scale-hybrid-energy-storage/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>secured</strong></a><strong> a $200 million investment from Magnetar</strong>, an alternative asset manager, to accelerate the deployment of its modular hybrid power plant solutions. The new funding will also fuel the expansion of GigaOne, Torus’ 540,000-square-foot manufacturing campus in Salt Lake City, which is designed to reach a production capacity of over 1 GW per quarter within three years.</p>
<p><strong>Aukera, a renewable energy developer and independent power producer, </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/aukera-raises-124-million-in-oversubscribed-second-equity-round/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>announced</strong></a><strong> the closing of an oversubscribed €105 million (~$124 million) equity round. </strong>With the amount raised, the company plans to accelerate its pipeline of more than 15 GW of solar PV, onshore wind, and battery storage projects in its core markets: the U.K., Italy, Germany, Belgium, and Romania.</p>
<p><strong>Climate-focused investment firm Wollemi Energy Group, part of Wollemi Capital, has </strong><a href="https://mercomcapital.com/wollemi-capital-acquires-renewable-energy-developer-mpower-for-12-5-million/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>completed</strong></a><strong> the acquisition of substantially all of the business of MPower</strong>, an Australian developer of renewable energy and battery storage systems, for A$19 million (~$12.5 million). As part of the agreement, the ASX-listed MPower Group is divesting its renewable energy and battery storage operations. Wollemi has also committed to investing more than $100 million to advance MPower’s project pipeline.</p>
<p><strong>Mufin Green Finance, a listed non-banking financial company, has </strong><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/mufin-green-raises-%E2%82%B9500-million-via-private-placement-of-ncds" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>completed</strong></a><strong> the allotment of 5,000 non-convertible debentures (NCDs) worth ₹500 million (~$5.67 million)</strong> through a private placement. As per an intimation filed with the stock exchanges, each debenture was allotted a coupon rate of 11% per annum, payable monthly. The NCDs were allotted on September 11, 2025, with a tenure of 15 months.</p>
<p><strong>Independent power producer Serentica Renewables has </strong><a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/serentica-acquire-statkrafts-indian-solar-business" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>signed</strong></a><strong> binding agreements to acquire Statkraft’s 445 MW operational solar project at Bikaner, along with 1 GW</strong> of solar projects under development across Rajasthan. Projects in the portfolio have been supplying power on a merchant basis and will be transitioned to serve Serentica’s commercial and industrial customers on a round-the-clock basis. The acquisition will grow Serentica’s operating portfolio to 1.5 GW.</p>
