Germany-based independent power producer Encavis <a href="https://cms.mercomindia.com/encavis-acquires-30-mw-solar-project-italy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">acquired</a> 30 MW of ready-to-build Pozzolo solar project in Italy. The value of the transaction and the vendor’s name were not disclosed. The solar project is expected to generate an average of around 42 GWh of electricity annually and will be connected to the grid in the second quarter of 2025.
Radial Power, a developer-owner-operator of distributed clean energy assets across large real estate portfolios, <a href="https://cms.mercomindia.com/radial-power-secures-community-solar-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> $80 million in tax equity financing from Bank of America to fund developing and installing 96 MW Commercial and Industrial (C&amp;I) and community solar projects across the U.S. The company will use the funding to support its pipeline of distributed generation projects through late 2024, encompassing both asset and portfolio-level turn-key integrated C&amp;I and community solar solutions.
German development bank Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) has <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/kfw-loans-218-million-solar-expansion-india" target="_blank" rel="noopener">granted</a> a Є130 million (~$142 million) loan to the Indian Ministry of Finance and a Є70 million (~$ 76 million) loan to the State Bank of India (SBI) recently. SBI will use the funds to refinance solar projects with a total capacity of 180 MW as part of phase III. The loan extended to the power generation company of Maharashtra through the Ministry of Finance will support both ground-mounted solar systems with a total capacity of 330 MW and transmission lines from solar projects to the nearest substation.
Emeren, a solar project developer, <a href="https://cms.mercomindia.com/emeren-group-sells-solar-project-portfolio-hungary/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> the sale of a 53.6 MW solar project portfolio in Hungary to Kronospan / Douglas Renewables, a manufacturer of wood-based panels. The portfolio encompasses six projects at various stages of advanced development. Four of them are already operational. One more power plant is scheduled to commence operations at the end of Q4 2023, with the final project expected to come online by mid-2024.
Goldbeck Solar Investment, the investment arm of Goldbeck Solar and Suncatcher Polska, <a href="https://cms.mercomindia.com/goldbeck-solar-investment-suncatcher-polska-solar-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sold</a> 9 MW of solar projects in Poland. The transaction details were not disclosed. The cluster comprises two solar parks in Barlinek in the Western Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. It has been operating since December 2023.

Goldbeck Solar Investment, the investment arm of <a href="https://goldbecksolar.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Goldbeck Solar</a>, and Suncatcher Polska, sold 9 MW of solar projects in Poland. The transaction details were undisclosed.
The cluster comprises two solar parks in Barlinek in the Western Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. It has been operating since December 2023. The solar park has an installed capacity of 9 MW and contributes significantly to the supply of clean energy in Poland.
Barlinek has over 16,500 panels, which ensure efficient production of 8,982 GWh/year. This can supply around 4,000 households and save around 6,000 tons of CO2 emissions per year.

According to Mercom’s 9M and Q3 2023 Solar Funding and M&amp;A <a href="https://cms.mercomindia.com/product/9m-q3-2023-solar-funding-ma-report/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Report</a>, in the first nine months (9M) of 2023, there were 166 project acquisitions for 31.6 GW compared to 207 projects for 52.1 GW in 9M 2022.
GoldenPeaks Capital Energy (GPCE), a Malta-headquartered green power producer, <a href="https://cms.mercomindia.com/goldenpeaks-capital-acquires-solar-projects-poland/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">recently</a> acquired 283 MW ready-to-build (RtB) solar power projects in Poland, located mostly in the country’s western and northwestern regions.

Goldbeck Solar, which specializes in the construction of industrial, commercial, and large-scale solar power projects, <a href="https://cms.mercomindia.com/goldbeck-financing-for-solar-projects-netherlands/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">concluded</a> €13 million (~$14.24 million) financing agreement with Triodos Bank for two ground-mounted solar photovoltaic power projects totaling 33.3 MW in the Netherlands. The Reimerswaal 1 Bathpolder solar project has a capacity of 10.81 MW, and the Reimerswaal 2 Krekragweg solar project has a capacity of 22.48 MW. Both projects are located in Rilland, Zeeland province, and are under construction.
Statera Energy, a UK-based energy storage and flexible generation developer and operator, <a href="https://cms.mercomindia.com/energy-storage-developer-statera-energy-secures-debt-funding/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> up to £300 million (~$377 million) in debt financing led by Lloyds Bank. The first £144 million (~$180 million) of the financing will be used to deliver Statera’s 300 MW (~600 MWh) Thurrock Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The balance will fund the development of a 270 MW flexible generation plant which secured a capacity market contract early this year. The BESS project, located near Greater London, is the first stage of Statera’s wider Thurrock development plans to begin construction.
Summit Ridge Energy, a community solar project owner and operator, <a href="https://cms.mercomindia.com/community-solar-firm-summit-ridge-energy-secures-275-million/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> $275 million from the global financial services company Mitsubishi and United Financial of Japan Group . The capital expands their existing partnership and will be used for project construction and term debt financing.
Econergy, an Israel-based investor, developer, and operator of renewable energy projects, <a href="https://cms.mercomindia.com/econergy-secures-66-million-for-solar-project-in-romania/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">announced</a> the closing of a €60 million (~$65.7 million) funding round with Raiffeisen Bank International to support the construction of its 155 MW solar power project in Romania. The project, named Ratesti, is expected to be one of the largest solar projects in Romania. The project’s construction investment has totaled €102 million (~$112 million).
France-based independent power producer Technique Solaire has <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/technique-solaire-buys-solar-projects-karnataka" target="_blank" rel="noopener">acquired</a> five ground-mounted solar power projects with a combined capacity of 135.4 MW in Karnataka from ReNew Solar Power. The projects commissioned between October and November 2019 have secure tariffs owing to long-term power purchase agreements with electricity and gas distribution companies in Karnataka. The projects produce nearly 215 GWh of green electricity annually, equivalent to the Indian consumption of more than 922,000 people.

<a href="https://goldbecksolar.com/en/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Goldbeck Solar</a>, a company specializing in the construction of industrial, commercial, and large-scale solar power projects, concluded €13 million (~$14.24 million) financing agreement with Triodos Bank for two ground-mounted solar photovoltaic power projects totaling 33.3 MW in the Netherlands.
The Reimerswaal 1 Bathpolder solar project has a capacity of 10.81 MW, and the Reimerswaal 2 Krekragweg solar project has a capacity of 22.48 MW. Both projects are located in Rilland, Zeeland province, and are currently under construction.
Goldbeck Solar will be the acting project developer for these two projects. The total investment amount for the two projects is €26 million (~$28.47 million), half of which is financed by Triodos Bank.

According to Mercom’s 9M and Q3 2023, Solar Funding and M&amp;A <a href="https://cms.mercomindia.com/product/9m-q3-2023-solar-funding-ma-report/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Report</a> announced large-scale project funding in the first nine months of 2023 came to $27.5 billion in 169 project funding deals, a 20% increase compared to $22.9 billion in 128 projects in 9M 2022.
Opdenergy, an independent renewable energy producer, <a href="https://cms.mercomindia.com/opdenergy-secures-252-million-project-financing/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">closed</a> a $252 million project financing package for two solar projects in the U.S. The first solar project, “Blake,” located in Jefferson County, West Virginia, has an installed capacity of 100 MW. The second solar project, “Elizabeth,” located in Allen Parish, Louisiana, has an installed capacity of 160 MW.

Goldbeck Secures $14 Million Financing for Solar Projects in Netherlands

<a href="https://goldbecksolar.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Goldbeck Solar</a>, a solar project developer, secured €44 million (~$47.90 million) financing from Rgreen Invest, an investment firm for constructing four ground-mounted projects in Canada and Chile, totaling 93 MW.
The Canadian projects in Alberta have a capacity of 61 MW and 8 MW, respectively and are part of the joint venture between Goldbeck Solar and Pathfinder Clean Energy. The projects in Chile in the province of Bío-Bío each have a capacity of 12 MW.  Capcora acted as the exclusive financial advisor for this transaction.

According to Mercom’s Q1 2023 Solar Funding and M&amp;A <a href="https://cms.mercomindia.com/product/q1-2023-solar-funding-ma-report/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">report</a>, announced large-scale project funding came to $5.3 billion in 62 deals, a decrease of 46% compared to $9.8 billion in 52 deals in Q4 2022. Grenergy, a solar, wind, and storage independent power producer, <a href="https://cms.mercomindia.com/grenergy-secures-green-financing-solar-projects/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> $148 million in green financing for the Gran Teno and Tamango solar projects located in Chile, with a combined capacity of 300 MW.
