					</table><p>The Military Engineer Services (<a href="https://mes.gov.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MES</a>) has invited bids for the repair and maintenance of a 1 MW solar power project at Leimakhong Military Station in Manipur.</p>
<p>The estimated contract value is ₹2 million (~$20,840).</p>
<p>The last day to submit bids is August 17, 2026. Bids will be opened the next day.</p>
<p>Bidders must submit a tender fee of ₹500 (~$5.21). Unlisted bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹24,000 (~$250.08).</p>
<p>The successful bidder must furnish a performance security equal to 5% of the contract value within 28 days of receiving the letter of acceptance.</p>
<p>The work must be completed within 210 days from the date of the site handover.</p>
<p>The scope of work includes the repair, replacement, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of the existing solar power plant and associated electrical infrastructure.</p>
<p>The contractor will be responsible for repairing or replacing damaged DC distribution equipment, connectors, fuses, surge protection devices, DC cables, inverter components, maximum power point trackers, control cards, capacitors, communication cables, low-tension underground cables, switchgear, earthing systems, meters, current transformers, and related accessories.</p>
<p>The work also includes underground cable laying, trenching, cable termination, testing, reinstatement of disturbed roads and drains, and earthing system maintenance with resistance testing.</p>
<p>The selected contractor must provide a manufacturer-issued test certificate for the inverter. The inverter must carry a 36-month performance guarantee from the date of certified completion.</p>
<p>Other repaired and replaced materials must carry the warranties specified in the contract, while the project will be covered by a 24-month defects liability period after handover.</p>
<p>The work will be carried out within a restricted military installation. Contractor personnel, vehicles, and materials will be subject to security clearance and access restrictions imposed by the military authorities.</p>
<p>MES-enlisted contractors must be enlisted in Class E or above under Category b(i), possess a valid electrical license, and have no adverse remarks in the workload return.</p>
<p>Unenlisted bidders must satisfy the MES enlistment criteria for the same class and category. They must have completed either one similar work worth at least ₹2 million (~$20,840), two similar works worth at least ₹1 million (~$10,420) each, or three similar works worth at least ₹750,000 (~$7,815) each.</p>
<p>They must also demonstrate an average annual turnover of at least ₹2.5 million (~$26,050) during the previous two financial years, a solvency of at least ₹1 million (~$10,420), working capital of ₹500,000 (~$5,210), and assets worth at least ₹800,000 (~$8,336), of which at least 80% must be immovable property.</p>
<p>Recently, MES <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/military-engineer-services-floats-maintenance-tender-for-1-mw-solar-project/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for the repair and maintenance of a 1 MW solar power project at Bambolim, Goa, for a period of 12 months.</p>
<p>Recently, MES <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/military-engineer-services-floats-om-tender-for-6-mw-solar-projects" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for the comprehensive operation and maintenance of 4 MW and 2 MW solar projects at the Army area in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.</p>

					</table><p>Military Engineer Services (<a href="https://mes.gov.in/en/southern-ce-af-bangalore-zone-cwe-af-trivandrum-ges/ge-af-sulur" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MES</a>) has floated a tender for the repair and maintenance of a 5 MW solar project and its miscellaneous items in Madhya Pradesh.</p>
<p>The last date for the submission of bids is May 25, 2024. Bids will be opened on May 27.</p>
<p>The project&#8217;s estimated cost is ₹2.5 million (~$29,953), and the completion period is six months.</p>
<p>Bidders have to submit an earnest money deposit of ₹50,000 (~$599.07)</p>
<p>MES-enlisted contractors in Class &#8216;E&#8217; and above must upload scanned documents along with their application, including a valid email ID.</p>
<p>The bidding application should be on the firm&#8217;s letterhead, and the contractors should upload a demand draft for the tender cost. They should also provide the enlistment letter and its enclosures.</p>
<p>The contractors should also include a copy of the GST registration number obtained from the relevant department. Failure to provide this number will lead to disqualification in the bid evaluation.</p>
<p>Other contractors who are not enlisted should upload scanned documents with the application, including a valid email ID. They should meet MES enlistment criteria for Class &#8216;E&#8217; and demonstrate satisfactory completion of similar works, annual turnover, solvency, etc.</p>
<p>An affidavit and attested copies of supporting documents are required.</p>
<p>There should be no outstanding recovery in any government department, and not suspended, debarred, or blacklisted from participating in bids or business dealings with government entities.</p>
<p>Before a work order is released, all contractors must provide the provident fund code number to the accepting officer. If the work is not applicable, the contractor can request the accepting officer, whose decision will be final.</p>
<p>For all contractors, subletting the work or assigning it to a third party through a power of attorney holder, except for sons/daughters/spouses of the proprietor/partner/director and the firm&#8217;s own employees, director, and project manager, is not allowed.</p>
<p>In June, MES <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/military-engineer-services-1-mw-solar-project" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to develop a 1 MW solar power project at Gorakhpur Air Force Area In Uttar Pradesh.</p>
<p>Earlier, MES <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/military-engineer-services-bids-1-33-mw-solar-projects" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for developing three solar power projects of capacities 1 MW, 200 kW, and 130 kW at Niwaru, Bhakrota, and Jaipur military stations, respectively, under Garrison Engineer (South) Jaipur.</p>
