					</table><p>Surat Municipal Corporation (<a href="https://www.suratmunicipal.gov.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SMC</a>) has issued a tender to set up a 4.2 MW wind project in Gujarat.</p>
<p>Bids must be submitted by September 9, 2026.</p>
<p>Bidders must furnish an earnest money deposit of ₹3.88 million (~$40,846) and a document fee of ₹21,240 (~$223.71).</p>
<p>Selected bidders must submit a security-cum-performance guarantee of 5% of the total contract value.</p>
<p>The scope of work entails the design, engineering, manufacture, testing, and commissioning of the wind electric generators (WEG). It also involves providing operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) services for ten years.</p>
<p>Successful bidders must design and manufacture WEG towers and foundations, micro-site the wind farm using Wind Atlas Analysis and Application Program Version 11.6 or an equivalent tool, and install the internal electrical system.</p>
<p>They must provide transformers, panels, protection and metering equipment, high-tension lines connecting the project to the nearest state grid substation, and energy meters at the export and consumption ends. They must also provide the power factor and reactive power compensation systems, control rooms, and a suitable evacuation system for grid interconnection.</p>
<p>Selected bidders must acquire the project land, undertake civil works, provide approach and internal roads, and a shared central monitoring system or portable cabin facilities. They must secure statutory approvals from relevant authorities, deploy required manpower and testing equipment, and arrange construction power and water through commissioning.</p>
<p>The WEGs must have a rated capacity of at least 1.5 MW, use three blades with active pitch control, and have a minimum design life of 20 years, considering 25 years of plant operation. They must withstand anticipated cyclones and comply with grid requirements, including fault ride-through and low-voltage ride-through.</p>
<p>They must also operate at 50 Hz ±0.5 Hz and accommodate voltage variations of +10% to -12.5%. Each WEG must have a microprocessor-based local control system with power backup for automatic, unattended operation, monitoring, stopping, and restarting.</p>
<p>The WEGs must comply with the Revised List of Models and Manufacturers (RLMM).</p>
<p>Bidders must have executed turnkey wind energy projects totaling at least 5 MW at a single wind farm in India during the preceding five years. They must also have executed O&amp;M contracts for at least 15 MW of wind capacity in India, with the projects operating for at least one year.</p>
<p>Bidders must have experience in installing, operating, and maintaining at least 10 MW of WEGs in Gujarat. The offered WEG rating must have operated successfully for at least two years globally, while the proposed model, with the same hub height and rotor diameter, must have operated in India for at least one year and be listed in RLMM.</p>
<p>Bidders must have an average annual turnover of at least ₹1 billion (~$10.53 million) over financial year (FY) 2023 to FY 2025 and a positive net worth during the same period.</p>
<p>If the net worth is negative, bidders must furnish a ₹138 million (~$1.45 million) bank solvency certificate and relevant financial undertakings. Newly established companies must have a positive net worth in FY 2025 and FY 2026, certified by a chartered accountant.</p>
<p>In 2024, SMC <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/surat-municipal-corporation-wind-power-project?" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to provide, install, and activate a 6.3 MW maximum-capacity wind power project, including all associated accessories, power evacuation facilities, and O&amp;M for up to 10 years.</p>
<p>India <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/indias-wind-installations-slipped-15-qoq-in-q2-2026?" target="_blank" rel="noopener">added</a> 1.3 GW of wind power capacity in the second quarter of calendar year 2026, down 15% from the previous quarter and 18% from the same period last year.</p>

					</table><p>Surat Municipal Corporation (<a href="https://www.suratmunicipal.gov.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SMC</a>) has invited bids for the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 10 MW of grid-connected solar power projects with land on lease at any location in Gujarat.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will also have to take care of maintenance activities of the project for ten years, including free maintenance for the first year.</p>
<p>The last date to submit the bids online is November 20, 2021, and bids will be opened on December 2. The pre-bid meeting will take place on October 29.</p>
<p>The estimated cost of the project is ₹644.6 million (~$8.58 million). Interested bidders will have to submit an amount of ₹6.446 million (~$85,823) as an earnest money deposit.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will have to furnish an amount of 2.5% of the order value as a bank guarantee within ten days of the issuance of the work order.</p>
<p>Also, the bidder will have to submit an amount of ₹2.5 million (~$33,285)/MW of solar modules as insurance against the solar module warranty, and it will be valid for 25 years. It should be submitted before the submission of the performance bank guarantee.</p>
<p>To participate in the bidding process, the bidder must be an Indian module manufacturer. The offered modules should have been tested at the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (<a href="https://mnre.gov.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MNRE</a>) accredited test centers. The modules should have a minimum efficiency of 17%. The bidder must have his own office and authorized sales and service center in different parts of India. He should also have an authorized exclusive service center in Gujarat.</p>
<p>The bidder should have executed one similar work of a total value of at least ₹520 million (~$6.92 million), or two similar works of value ₹320 million (~$4.26 million) each, or three similar works of value ₹260 million (~$3.46 million) each in the last seven years.</p>
<p>The bidder should have experience in design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a cumulative installed capacity of 10 MW or above of grid-connected solar projects in India in the last seven years, with a minimum of 1 MW capacity and one power project of 5MW or above. Out of the 10 MW capacity, there must be at least one solar project of 5 MW or above capacity, and it must have been operational for at least one year.</p>
<p>The bidder’s average annual turnover for the last three financial years should be at least ₹193.38 million (~$2.57 million), and the net worth of the bidder should be positive in the previous three financial years.</p>
<p>The Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited recently <a href="https://mercomindia.com/epc-tender-floated-60-mw-solar-projects-in-gujarat/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids for the design, engineering, supply, procurement, installation, and commissioning of 60 MW grid-connected solar power projects at various substations of the Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation in the Kutchh district of the state.</p>
