The new investment will be used to accelerate the company’s transition from pilot deployments to full commercial rollout.
Amarenco, an independent power producer, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/amarenco-secures-150-million-preferred-equity-tranche/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> a €130 million (~$150 million) preferred equity tranche from its long-standing shareholder Arjun Infrastructure Partners. The facility will be used to accelerate its growth in European markets. Doral Renewables, a utility-scale renewable energy project developer, has <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/doral-renewables-secures-525-million-in-letter-of-credit-financing/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> approximately $525 million in letter of credit facilities. The first transaction is an approximately $385 million Deferred Equity Contribution Guarantee facility, and the second arrangement is an approximately $140 million all-purpose guarantee facility.
AmpliSi, a U.K.-based advanced materials company that develops silicon anodes for lithium-ion batteries, has <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/amplisi-secures-2-7-million-in-pre-seed-funding-round/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> £2 million (~$2.7 million) in a pre-seed funding led by Northern Gritstone and Clean Growth Fund. The latest funding round will support AmpliSi’s transition from laboratory development toward industrial scale-up and early customer engagement.
A consortium of three investors led by LeapFrog Investments, Emerging Market Climate Action Fund, and Carlyle AlpInvest has <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/renew-offloads-11-stake-in-ci-arm-for-95-million" target="_blank" rel="noopener">picked</a> up a combined stake of approximately 11.3% in ReNew Green Energy Solutions, the commercial and industrial platform of ReNew Energy Global. Swift Solar, a company that designs and manufactures Perovskite-based photovoltaic cells, has <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/swift-solar-acquires-meyer-burgers-manufacturing-assets-and-ip/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">acquired</a> the core manufacturing assets and intellectual property of Meyer Burger, a manufacturer of solar cells and modules. With this acquisition, Swift Solar plans to build a GW-scale HJT cell and module manufacturing facility in the U.S. The company also plans to add perovskite tandems to the same factory.
Alternative credit platform BlackSoil has <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/blacksoil-invests-%E2%82%B9750-million-in-euler-motors-to-support-ev-growth" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invested</a> ₹750 million (~$8.1 million) in electric vehicle manufacturer Euler Motors as part of a funding round following the company’s Series D raise completed in May 2025. The round was led by BlackSoil with participation from several other investors. The capital will primarily support Euler Motors’ operational requirements and expansion plans.

The funding will provide the company with the opportunity for further development both in the area of international expansion across Europe and in the area of planned ambitious investments. Upon meeting certain conditions, the loan amount can also be increased up to PLN741 million (~$183 million).
Swift Solar, a company that designs and manufactures Perovskite-based photovoltaic cells, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/swift-solar-raises-27-million-in-series-a-funding/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">raised</a> $27 million in a Series A funding round co-led by Eni Next, Eni’s corporate venture capital arm, and Fontinalis Partners, a mobility and deep tech VC firm that invests in startup companies. With this funding round, the company has raised a total of $44 million.
Gorilla, a clean energy provider of data-driven solutions, has <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/energy-data-startup-gorilla-raises-25-million-in-series-b-funding/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">closed</a> €23 million (~$25 million) in a Series B funding round led by global venture capital firm Headline, with existing investors including Beringea and the Flemish investment company PMV. Gorilla offers solutions for utility companies to help maximize efficiency, understand energy portfolios influenced by distributed energy resources such as solar panels, wind turbines, and battery storage, ensure operational stability, and develop pricing strategies based on individual usage patterns.
UNIGRID, a provider of sodium-based battery solutions, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/sodium-ion-battery-startup-unigrid-secures-12-million/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">raised</a> $12 million in an oversubscribed Series A funding round. The round was co-led by Transition VC and Ritz Venture Capital and joined by new investor Union Square Ventures. Existing investor Foothill Ventures also participated in this round. The company stated that this investment would accelerate and scale up its battery production to a megawatt-scale to satisfy the customer demand for electric mobility and stationary storage markets.
Samara, a provider of solar and energy storage solutions for households, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/solar-energy-startup-samara-closes-10-million-series-a-funding/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> a €9 million (~$10 million) in Series A funding round. With this funding, the company plans to expand its services, develop new products, and reach larger market segments with its financing solutions. This round was led by Green Generation Fund and Move Energy, accompanied by impact funds Ring Capital and Athletico Ventures.
Princeton NuEnergy, a provider of battery recycling solutions, <a href="https://mercomcapital.com/princeton-nuenergy-closed-oversubscribed-funding/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">closed</a> $30 million in an oversubscribed Series A funding round with a strategic investment from Samsung Venture Investment Corporation, Samsung&#8217;s corporate venture arm, investing in breakthrough technologies across industries and from Helium-3 Ventures. The funding brings the total amount raised by the company to over $55 million, including multiple U.S. Department of Energy grants totaling $18 million and a $7.9 million seed and angel rounds.
