Waaree’s N-Type Solar Module Plant in Gujarat Expands to 3 GW

Waaree Energies has commissioned an additional 1.5 GW of high-efficiency N-type module manufacturing lines at its plant in Samakhiali, Kutch, in Gujarat.

Waaree has commissioned two 750 MW module manufacturing lines, raising the manufacturing plant’s production capacity to 3 GW.

The company’s total solar module manufacturing capacity stands at 22.3 GW globally, comprising 19.7 GW in India and 2.6 GW in the U.S.. It has a solar cell manufacturing capacity of 5.4 GW.

In October 2025, Waaree commenced commercial operations at its 950 MW solar module manufacturing plant in the Navsari district of Gujarat.

In April 2025, the company announced plans for a 3 GW manufacturing facility in Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, or another location. It also planned for a 6 GW solar cell manufacturing plant at Unn, Gujarat, and a 6 GW ingot and wafer manufacturing facility at Nagpur, Maharashtra.

It is also to commission an additional 1.6 GW module manufacturing facility in its Texas facility in the U.S. and a 3.2 GW plant in Gujarat.

Waaree has been ramping up its solar and cell manufacturing capacity to meet the demand for its modules.  According to its financial results for the second quarter of FY 2026, its order book is approximately 24 GW, valued at approximately ₹470 billion (~$5.35 billion).

In December this year, Waaree Solar Americas received an order for the supply of 288 MW of solar modules from Sabancı Renewables, a developer and owner-operator of utility-scale renewable energy projects in Texas, U.S.

In November, Waaree also secured a 350 MW order from AMPIN Energy Transition to supply high-efficiency G12R TOPCon modules for AMPIN’s upcoming solar projects across India. The deliveries are expected to be completed by March 2026.

In October, the company secured separate orders to supply 220 MW, 210 MW, and 140 MW of solar modules from undisclosed customers in India.
