Lineage Power, a material subsidiary of Pace Digitek, has secured an order worth ₹4.88 billion (~$48.85 million) from NTPC GE Power Services (NGSL) for a battery energy storage system project at the Barh Super Thermal Power Project.

The order’s scope includes supplying and testing battery energy storage system (BESS) containers, along with supervising erection and commissioning. It also entails supplying battery and energy management systems.

Lineage Power must provide five years of annual maintenance services and an additional seven-year extended warranty for the battery containers.

The order is scheduled for completion by December 31, 2026.

Pace Digitek said Lineage Power is being developed as a product-focused battery storage business covering manufacturing, product supply, system integration, and lifecycle support.

The company operationalized 2.5 GWh of battery storage manufacturing capacity in 2025, later expanding it to 5 GWh. It plans to increase its manufacturing capacity to 10 GWh by the third quarter of the financial year 2027.

Pace Digitek has delivered battery storage containers representing more than 1.5 GWh of capacity to date.

It is also evaluating opportunities for battery storage applications among commercial and industrial customers and other power-intensive users, alongside its utility-scale battery storage business.

This June, Lineage Power signed an agreement with Guangzhou Rongjie Energy Technology to procure 3 GWh of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery cells and related accessories. China-based RJE Tech will supply 314 Ah storage-specific prismatic LFP battery cells.

In February, Lineage Power received an order worth ₹1.58 billion (~$17.39 million) from Reliance Industries for the supply of Lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery packs.

The order involved the supply of Li-ion battery packs with a technical configuration of 48V, 15S1P, and a capacity of 314 AH. The battery packs specified under the contract have a nominal voltage of 48 volts and are configured in a 15S1P arrangement, indicating 15 cells connected in series and one cell in parallel, delivering a total capacity of 314 ampere-hours.
