Maharashtra Sets ₹2.72/kWh as Generic Tariff for Solar and ₹2.87/kWh for Wind

The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) has fixed ₹2.72 (~$0.03893)/kWh as the generic tariff for solar photovoltaic (PV) projects for FY 2018-19. It has also fixed ₹2.87 (~$0.04108)/kWh as the generic tariff for wind energy projects in Maharashtra.
