Mercom India’s sixth edition of its flagship event, the Mercom India Renewables Summit, will be held on July 1 and 2, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency in New Delhi.
A key event in India’s renewable energy calendar, the Summit brings together industry leaders, policymakers, investors, developers, manufacturers, and technology providers to exchange insights and discuss the next phase of India’s clean energy growth.
Over the past five editions, the event has established itself as an influential forum for examining how policy goals can translate into project execution, investment decisions, and market expansion.
The Summit comes at a critical stage as India works toward its national clean energy targets. These include achieving 50% of installed power capacity from non-fossil fuel sources by 2030, installing 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity, reducing the economy’s emissions intensity, and reaching net-zero emissions by 2070.
The two-day event will provide a platform to assess progress toward these goals and discuss the policy, regulatory, financial, and technological changes needed to support the sector’s next phase.
The Summit will feature high-level panel discussions on recent and upcoming policy shifts across key segments, including solar, wind, energy storage, green hydrogen, transmission, and clean energy manufacturing.
Discussions will cover regulatory developments, project execution challenges, grid infrastructure, financing trends, technology adoption, supply chain constraints, and the investments required to support India’s renewable energy expansion.
For the first time, the Summit will also feature focused panel discussions and workshops addressing practical challenges across manufacturing, workforce development, and project procurement.
The session titled “Building a Globally Competitive Solar Manufacturing Ecosystem in India: A Practical Roadmap from Factory Design to Ramp-Up” will be held on July 1 at 12:30 PM. This will examine the requirements for scaling domestic solar manufacturing capacity.
Another session, “Bridging the Renewable Energy Talent Gap: Aligning Academia with Industry Needs,” will be held on July 2 at 12:30 PM. It will focus on workforce readiness, industry requirements, and the role of academic institutions in supporting the growth of the renewable energy sector.
The workshop titled “Procurement Without Compromise: A Practical Workshop on Module Quality and Reliability” will be held on July 2 at 3:00 PM. It will address module quality, reliability standards, procurement best practices, and risk mitigation for project developers and buyers.
The event will be built around Mercom India’s proprietary research and market intelligence. Sessions will draw on exclusive data and insights across major renewable energy segments, providing attendees with a data-backed view of market trends, risks, and opportunities.
Attendees will hear directly from senior executives, government officials, investors, and industry experts shaping India’s energy transition. They will be able to exchange ideas, understand emerging technologies and financing models, and connect with decision-makers involved in project development and policy implementation.
The Summit will also offer networking opportunities for industry leaders and participants across the renewable energy value chain.
The 2026 Summit will host two parallel events: the sixth Mercom India Awards and the Renewable Energy Exhibition.
The Mercom India Awards, recognized as one of the solar industry’s most prestigious accolades, will honor outstanding achievements and spotlight companies and individuals driving the sector’s growth.
The Renewable Energy Exhibition will feature leading renewable energy companies showcasing solutions and services across solar, wind, energy storage, grid technologies, and other clean energy segments.
Register now to attend the event and help shape the future of India’s renewable energy sector.
