Strong Solar and Hydro Output Lifts SJVN’s Revenue by 61% in Q3 FY 2026

The company’s net profit increased by nearly 51% during the same period

Government-owned power generation company SJVN’s revenue rose to ₹10.81 billion (~$119.22 million) in the third quarter (Q3) of the financial year (FY) 2026, a 61.3% year-over-year (YoY) increase from ₹6.71 billion (~$74.01 million).

Revenue from solar and wind energy stood at ₹1.18 billion (~$13.01 million) for Q3 FY 2026, up 122.5% YoY from ₹530.2 million (~$5.85 million) in Q3 FY 2025.

The company’s net profit increased to ₹2.24 billion (~$24.71 million), up by 50.8% from ₹1.48 billion (~$16.32 million) in the corresponding quarter last year.

Earnings per share (EPS) came in at ₹0.57 (~$0.0062), up from ₹0.38 (~$0.0042) a year ago.

Hydropower revenue of ₹8.35 billion (~$92.09 million) was achieved in the quarter, up 49% YoY from ₹5.6 billion (~$61.76 million).

The company achieved commercial operation of the 1 GW Bikaner solar power project of SJVN Green Energy during the nine months ended December 31, 2025.

The Group also commissioned one unit of 660 MW out of two units aggregating 1.32 GW at the Buxar Thermal Power Project of SIVN Thermal (a subsidiary).

First Nine Months (9M) FY 2026

In 9M FY 2026, SJVN reported a rise in revenue to ₹30.31 billion (~$334.28 million), up by 18% from ₹25.67 billion (~$283.11 million) during the same period the previous year.

Revenue from solar and energy rose to ₹3.42 billion (~$37.72 million), increasing 111% YoY from ₹1.62 billion (~$17.87 million).

EPS stood at ₹1.93 (~$0.021), down from ₹2.41 (~$0.026).

Hydropower revenue rose 10% to ₹25.44 billion (~$280.58 million)  from ₹23.09 billion (~$254.66 million).

The Group also commissioned one unit of 660 MW out of two units aggregating 1.32 GW at the Buxar Thermal Power Project of SIVN Thermal (a subsidiary).

The company is optimistic about achieving its 25 GW target by FY 2030, with an estimated annual capacity addition of 3 GW. It aims to achieve this target through a mix of renewable and conventional energy sources.

The company reported revenue of ₹10.32 billion (~$116.5 million) for Q2 FY 2026, a 0.5% YoY increase from ₹10.26 billion (~$115.8 million).
