SunScout Raises $15.5 Million in Initial Public Offering

SunScout Holding Limited, a clean-technology company developing autonomous solar-powered robotic mowers and related solar energy solutions, has raised $15.5 million through its initial public offering.

The company offered 3.1 million Class A ordinary shares at $5 per share.

SunScout’s Class A ordinary shares began trading on the NYSE American and NYSE Texas under the ticker symbol ‘SNSC on August 12, 2026.

Dominari Securities served as the lead underwriter, and Revere Securities served as a co-underwriter. Ortoli Rosenstadt has acted as U.S. counsel to SunScout, and Hunter Taubman Fischer & Li has served as U.S. securities counsel to the underwriters.

Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Palmerston North, New Zealand, SunScout designs, manufactures, and distributes autonomous robotic lawn mowers powered by integrated solar energy systems. SunScout’s solar division develops, constructs, and operates solar energy projects ranging from commercial rooftop installations to utility-scale power plants.

The company plans to use the proceeds from the offering to establish a manufacturing plant in Austin, Texas. The company also plans to allocate the proceeds toward marketing and promotion, product development, inventory, repayment of one loan, working capital, and a payment related to its acquisition of Brightway Energy under a membership purchase agreement.

SunScout has granted the underwriters a 45-day option to purchase up to an additional 465,000 Class A ordinary shares at the public offering price of $5 per share, less underwriting discounts.

Solar public market financing in 1H 2026 totaled $2.2 billion in 17 deals, a 371% increase compared to $467 million in five deals in 1H 2025, according to Mercom’s Annual and Q4 2025 Solar Funding and M&A report.

In Feb 2026, SOLV Energy, a company that provides construction, operation, and maintenance services for large-scale solar and battery storage projects, announced the closing of its $589 million initial public offering (IPO), consisting of 23,575,000 shares of Class A common stock priced at $25 per share. The shares started trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market on February 11, 2026, under the ticker symbol “MWH.”
