					</table><p>The <a href="https://cse.ap.gov.in/DSE/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Andhra Pradesh School Education Department</a> has installed 3.5 MW of rooftop solar capacity across 415 government schools under the Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) program.</p>
<p>Out of the total installations, <a href="https://eshaanenergy.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Eshaan Energy</a> completed 1.05 MW of capacity across 113 government schools in six districts, under the jurisdictions of three electricity distribution companies, within 99 days.</p>
<p>The rooftop systems are expected to reduce the schools’ grid electricity consumption and related expenses by about 55%. Before the installations, the schools collectively consumed approximately 4,000 units of electricity, although the reporting period for this figure was not specified.</p>
<p>The systems use RenewSys solar modules and Polycab inverters, cables, and chlorinated polyvinyl chloride components.</p>
<p>Executing the project across 113 geographically dispersed schools created logistical and site-specific challenges. Several buildings lacked direct terrace access, while roof conditions and installation requirements varied across locations.</p>
<p>The project team coordinated the deployment of the workforce and materials across the six districts to meet the 99-day schedule. It also tweaked installation plans to suit the conditions at each school.</p>
<p>The installations support the PM SHRI program’s objective of developing sustainable school infrastructure. The solar systems will help the schools reduce recurring electricity expenses and increase their use of renewable energy.</p>
<p>Eshaan Energy had earlier <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/dr-ntr-university-installs-100-kw-rooftop-solar-to-cut-power-costs-emissions" target="_blank" rel="noopener">commissioned</a> a 100 kW rooftop solar power system at the Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, to reduce the institution’s electricity costs, improve energy sustainability, and lower its carbon footprint.</p>
<p>In December 2025, Eshaan Energy <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/krishna-milk-union-halve-energy-bills-650-kw-rooftop-solar-system/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">executed</a> a 650 kW rooftop solar installation for Krishna Milk Union at its plant in Veeravalli, Krishna District. Eshaan Energy had also <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/prakasa-spectro-cast-powers-foundry-with-750-kw-solar-system-cuts-bills-by-65/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">installed</a> a 750 kW shed-mounted solar system for Prakasa Spectro Cast in Enikepadu, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh.</p>

					</table><p><a href="https://drntr.uhsap.in/index/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences</a> in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, has commissioned a 100 kW rooftop solar power system to reduce electricity costs, improve energy sustainability, and lower its carbon footprint.</p>
<p>Funded by Canara Bank under its corporate social responsibility initiative, the installation highlights the role of financial institutions in enabling clean energy adoption in educational institutions.</p>
<p>The installation is expected to generate approximately 150,000 kWh of electricity annually. With the university’s pre-installation consumption at around 35,000 units per month, the solar system is projected to reduce electricity costs by nearly 40%, improve energy cost predictability, and reduce dependence on grid power.</p>
<p>The project is estimated to have a payback period of four to five years.</p>
<p>The rooftop solar system was installed by <a href="https://eshaanenergy.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Eshaan Energy</a> as the engineering, procurement, and construction contractor. The system uses RenewSys bifacial solar modules, Sungrow inverters, and Polycab AC and DC cables, designed to ensure efficient generation and long-term operational reliability.</p>
<p>Educational institutions typically have stable daytime energy demand, making them well-suited for rooftop solar installations. The system is expected to offset approximately 120–130 tons of carbon emissions annually, supporting the university’s transition toward more sustainable operations.</p>
<p>The installation was carried out on a high-rise rooftop, where space constraints and policy-related challenges required careful planning and design optimization. The EPC contractor addressed these constraints through efficient system layout and execution strategies to maximize generation within the available area while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.</p>
<p>In addition to financial benefits, the rooftop solar installations contribute to environmental sustainability by reducing dependence on conventional energy sources and supporting India’s broader renewable energy targets.</p>

					</table><p>Krishna Milk Union (<a href="https://vijayamilk.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">KMU</a>), an Andhra Pradesh&#8217;s dairy cooperative, has commissioned a 650 kW rooftop solar installation at its plant in Veeravalli, Krishna District, reinforcing its long-term sustainability vision while lowering energy costs.</p>
<p>Executed by <a href="https://eshaanenergy.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Eshaan Energy</a>, the project uses RenewSys N-Type 600 Wp modules paired with Sungrow string inverters, mounted on reinforced cement concrete (RCC) structures for optimized performance and durability.</p>
<p>Before adopting solar, the dairy&#8217;s average daily energy consumption stood at around 6,000 units. With the new system in place, KMU expects to reduce its electricity bills by nearly 50%, significantly strengthening operational efficiency.</p>
<p>The installation did not involve major site or policy hurdles, allowing Eshaan Energy to complete the project on schedule. The company ensured full compliance with local power distribution and the Chief Electrical Inspector to the Government norms during the integration of the system into the plant&#8217;s distribution network.</p>

					</table><p>Faced with rising electricity costs and a commitment to sustainable manufacturing, <a href="https://prakasa.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Prakasa Spectro Cast</a> transitioned from grid power to installing a 750 kW shed-mounted solar system at its facility in Enikepadu, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, to fully embrace a green energy initiative.</p>
<p>High power bills from running energy-intensive foundry operations made renewable energy not just an environmental choice, but a strategic financial decision as well. By generating a significant portion of its energy through solar power, the company reduces dependence on the grid, cuts operating costs, and lowers its carbon footprint, aligning its heavy-duty casting operations with global sustainability goals.</p>
<p>Prakasa Spectro Cast manufactures various grades of cast and alloy materials, including cast steel, cast iron, alloy steel, manganese steel, spheroidal graphite iron, nickel-chromium hard cast iron, and high-chrome castings.</p>
<p>The installation by <a href="https://eshaanenergy.com/index.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Eshaan Energy</a> features Renewsys Topcon G2G NDCR 600 Wp modules, paired with Sungrow inverters for optimal performance. The mounting system employs aluminum rails, while Polycab AC/DC cables ensure reliable power transmission. The setup also includes customized panels, an 800 V to 33 kV step-up transformer, a vacuum circuit breaker (VCB), and a relay panel to seamlessly integrate solar output into the plant’s electrical network.</p>
<p>Prakasa Spectro’s energy demand used to average 350,000 units per month. With the solar project operational, the company now expects to save approximately 65% on monthly energy bills, achieving a payback period of just five years without interest (six years with interest).</p>
<p>Burra Phani Chandra, Founder and CEO at Eshaan Energy, noted that executing this large-scale solar project required overcoming several challenges. These included changing shed sheets, increasing the height of industrial sheds for better panel placement, navigating policy hurdles related to net metering caps and meter charging, and upgrading connectivity from low-tension to 33 kV using the step-up transformer, VCB, and relay panel.</p>
<p>“Through innovative design adjustments and persistent coordination, Eshaan Energy addressed each hurdle. This successful project execution underscored our commitment to deliver an efficient, long-lasting solar energy system with world-class make and model by elite workmanship,” he said.</p>
