					</table><p>NTPC Renewable Energy (<a href="https://ntpcrel.co.in/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">NTPC REL</a>) has invited bids to supply and install wind turbine generators (WTGs) for an inter-state transmission system (ISTS)-connected wind energy project in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh.</p>
<p>The nominal capacity of the wind project is 600 MW (200 WTGs)</p>
<p>The bid submission deadline is October 19, 2026. Bids will be opened on the same day.</p>
<p>Bidders must submit an earnest money deposit of ₹500 million (~$5.21 million).</p>
<p>The scope of work includes detailed design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of ALMM (Wind)-WTGs within the wind farm with any rating of 3 MW or above.</p>
<p>It also includes detailed design engineering, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning for the unit substation associated with each offered WTG, along with the electrical works required for grid integration.</p>
<p>The successful bidder will also be responsible for comprehensive maintenance of the WTGs for 10 years starting from project commissioning.</p>
<p>Bidders should be a manufacturer of an approved WTG model of a minimum rating of 3000 kW in the latest ALMM (Wind) list issued by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy prior to the date of techno-commercial bid opening.</p>
<p>The average annual turnover of bidders during the last three financial years should be at least [INR 102.40 Lakh/MW] x [Quoted Capacity in MW or 645 MW, whichever is less].</p>
<p>They should also have a positive net worth as on the last day of the preceding financial year or the last day of the preceding financial quarter.</p>
<p>Recently, NTPC REL <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/ntpc-rel-invites-bids-for-215-mw-wind-project-in-madhya-pradesh" target="_blank" rel="noopener">invited</a> bids to develop a 215 MW wind energy project with connectivity to the state transmission utility in Madhya Pradesh.</p>
<p>Earlier, NTPC REL <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/ntpc-rel-invites-bids-for-600-mw-wind-project-in-andhra-pradesh/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> a tender to install WTGs for an interstate transmission system-connected wind energy project with a nominal capacity of 600 MW, comprising 200 WTGs in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh.</p>
<p>India <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/indias-wind-installations-slipped-15-qoq-in-q2-2026/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">added</a> 1.3 GW of wind power capacity in the second quarter of calendar year 2026, down 15% from the previous quarter and 18% from the same period last year.</p>

					</table><p><a href="https://www.pfcclindia.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PFC Consulting</a> has invited bids to establish an interstate transmission system to evacuate 3 GW from Kurnool IV Renewable Energy Zone Phase II, Andhra Pradesh.</p>
<p>The last date to submit bids is July 8, 2025. Bids will be opened on the same day.</p>
<p>Bidders must submit a bid bond of ₹434 million (~$5.14 million) and a contract performance guarantee of ₹1.08 billion (~$12.79 million).</p>
<p>They must submit a bid document fee of ₹500,000 (~$5,921).</p>
<p>The scope of work covers establishing 4&#215;1500 MVA, 765/400 kV &amp; 4&#215;500 MVA, 400/220 kV Kurnool-IV Pooling Station (PS) near Kurnool, along with 2&#215;330 MVAr 765 kV bus reactors at Kurnool-IV PS. It includes a provision for two sections of 4500 MVA each at the 400 kV level.</p>
<p>It also entails setting up 765 kV D/C line dedicated lines from Kurnool-IV – Bidar with 330 MVAr SLR. Additionally, a 765 kV D/C line from Kurnool-IV – Kurnool-III PS with 240 MVAr SLR must be set up.</p>
<p>Bidders must construct a 300 MVAr static synchronous compensator at Kurnool-IV, and 2&#215;125 MVAr monitoring and system response.</p>
<p>The project covers the augmentation of a 1500 MVA and a 765/400 kV transmission system utilizing information and communication technology at C’Peta.</p>
<p>Successful bidders are responsible for the project&#8217;s establishment, operation, and maintenance on a build, own, operate, and transfer basis.</p>
<p>They must complete all the activities for the project, including a survey, detailed project report formulation, arranging finance, and project management.</p>
<p>Bidders must procure consents, clearances, and permits, and pay the land compensation for the project.</p>
<p>The project will be completed within 30 months.</p>
<p>The Indian government has identified 51 GW of renewable energy potential in Andhra Pradesh and 23 GW in Kurnool.</p>
<p>The transmission capacity of Kurnool is being augmented in two phases. Phase one of the augmentation works is already in progress.</p>
<p>Andhra Pradesh has received approval for connectivity for 4.3 MW under Phase I and a request for another 3.2 GW.</p>
<p>Successful bidders must have developed infrastructure projects with aggregate capital expenditure of at least ₹21.7 billion (~$257 million) in the last five years. The capital expenditure for each project must be at least ₹4.34 billion (~$51.4 million).</p>

<p>Successful bidders must have a network of at least ₹8.68 billion (~$102.8 million).</p>
<p>In September 2024, the company <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/pfc-tenders-transmission-system-for-renewable-energy-evacuation" target="_blank" rel="noopener">issued</a> a request for proposal to select a transmission service provider to establish an interstate transmission System at Kurnool-III PS, Andhra Pradesh, to integrate an additional 4.5 GW of renewable energy.</p>
<p>In April 2025, Resonia (Sterlite Power) <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/sterlite-power-bags-transmission-project-to-evacuate-4-5-gw-renewable-energy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">bagged</a> PFC Consulting’s transmission works to augment the interstate transmission system at the Ananthapur-II Renewable Energy Zone (Phase I) in Andhra Pradesh to evacuate 4.5 GW of renewable energy.</p>

PFC Consulting Invites Bids to Evacuate 3 GW Renewable Energy from Kurnool

<p>The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (<a href="https://www.powergridindia.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">PGCIL</a>) has floated two tenders, one for the installation of reactor packages and another for the supply of transmission lines in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.</p>
<p>The first tender issued by the PGCIL invites bids for the installation of reactor packages at the Kurnool solar park in Andhra Pradesh and Maheshwaram in Telangana.</p>
<p>The projects are expected to cost ₹589.41 million (~$8.3 million). Interested bidders are expected to submit an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹10.04 million (~$141,934). The last date for the submission of bids is January 14, 2020.</p>
<p>The scope of the work includes the design, engineering, manufacture, testing, transportation, delivering, and commissioning of the packages at the sites.</p>
<p>To be eligible to take part in the bidding process, applicants must have had a positive net worth in the last three financial and a minimum annual turnover of ₹461.28 million (~$6.52 million) for at least three of the last five financial years.</p>
<p>The PGCIL also invited bids for a 765-kV transmission line package for stage III of its Kurnool solar and wind energy zones in Andhra Pradesh.</p>
<p>The bid calls for the supply of earth wire, hardware fittings, and accessories for conductors. Interested bidders are expected to submit an earnest money deposit of ₹22 million (~$309,234).</p>
<p>The scope of the work involves surveying the locations, design, the fabrication and supply of all types of transmission line towers, accessories, fittings, installation, testing, and commissioning of the lines. The deadline for bid submission is January 10, 2020.</p>
<p>The tender states that the invitation for bidding is open to all firms, including companies, government-owned enterprises registered and incorporated in India, barring government departments, and foreign bidders.</p>
<p>The Kurnool ultra-mega solar park is located at Gani and Sakunala villages of Andhra Pradesh.</p>
<p>Recently, Mercom <a href="https://mercomindia.com/andhra-pradesh-floats-tender-solar-parks/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">reported</a> that the Andhra Pradesh Solar Power Corporation Private Limited (APSPCL) issued operation and maintenance tenders for two of the state’s ultra-mega solar parks. The O&amp;M tenders have been floated for 1.5 GW of solar projects at Ananthapuramu and 1 GW of projects at Kurnool ultra-mega solar park.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, the Ministry of new and Renewable Energy recently <a href="https://mercomindia.com/andhra-pradesh-solar-naxal-areas/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">announced</a> that the government of Andhra Pradesh had reported the development of a cumulative capacity of 1,160 MW of ultra-mega solar parks in Naxal affected regions of the state.  These projects have been developed in the taluks of Nambulapula Kunta (1,000 MW) and Ramagiri (160 MW). Both taluks are located in the Ananthapuramu district of the state.</p>
