The West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission (WBERC) has allowed West Bengal Power Development Corporation (WBPDCL) to incur expenditure of ₹20.14 billion (~$210.48 million) for installing and commissioning a 200 MW floating solar project integrated with an 80 MW/320 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) at the Bakreswar Thermal Power Station reservoir.
