					</table><p>Robotic solar module cleaning equipment supplier, <a href="https://www.leapting.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">LEAPTING</a>, has secured an order from <a href="https://www.renew.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ReNew Power</a> to supply automatic solar module cleaning robots for more than 1 GW of capacity across two utility-scale solar projects in India.</p>
<p>ReNew Power has finalized the agreement for the cleaning robots covering a 609 MW project in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh, and a 420 MW project in Bhadla, Rajasthan.</p>
<p>Both installations are designed with single-axis tracker systems. The deployment of LEAPTING’s G1 Automatic Solar Module Cleaning Robots will support stable module cleaning operations and improve generation efficiency.</p>
<p>LEAPTING will supply around 2,500 G1 robots for the two projects combined. The cleaning systems are being introduced to address persistent operational challenges commonly observed in large solar parks, including high soiling levels, reduced water availability, and harsh environmental conditions.</p>
<p>According to LEAPTING, its G1 robot is designed for large-scale and tracker-based solar plants, featuring fully automatic, unmanned operation and a water-free dry-cleaning mechanism.</p>
<p>Robotic cleaning enhances the performance of solar panels and energy output. It is more effective than manual water-based cleaning, ensuring higher module efficiency.</p>
<p>The system is built to function in high-temperature and dusty environments, ensuring consistent movement along tracker rows and reducing operational disruptions.</p>
<p>In November this year, LEAPTING <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/leapting-to-supply-module-cleaning-robots-to-blupines-solar-projects" target="_blank" rel="noopener">secured</a> a contract with renewable solutions provider BluPine Energy to supply 662 units of its G1 2P fully automatic cleaning robots. The cleaning robots will be deployed in two 100 MW solar projects in Radhanpur, Gujarat. They have a modular design for easy maintenance and remote control via long-range/4 G wireless communication technology, capable of cleaning up to 4,000㎡ per hour.</p>
<p>According to Mercom’s India Solar Market Leaderboard 2025 report, LEAPTING <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/robotic-solar-module-cleaning-equipment-market-leaders-in-1h-2024" target="_blank" rel="noopener">emerged</a> as one of the top five robotic solar module cleaning equipment suppliers to the Indian solar market in 2024. <p>The cleaning robots will be deployed in two 100 MW solar projects in Radhanpur, Gujarat.</p>
<p>The LEAPTING G1 is a waterless cleaning robot designed for solar modules. It features zero-damage cleaning, dust and water resistance, and real-time all-wheel drive for slopes up to 25 degrees.</p>
<p>The cleaning robot features a modular design for easy maintenance and remote control via long-range/4 G wireless communication technology, capable of cleaning up to 4,000㎡ per hour.</p>
<p>LEAPTING provides services in automatic navigation vehicle-mounted cleaning, dry-hanging cleaning, module inspection, and automated component laying.</p>
<p>According to Mercom’s India Solar Market Leaderboard 2025 report, LEAPTING was one of the top five robotic solar module <a href="https://mercomindia.com/top-robotic-solar-module-cleaning-equipment-suppliers-in-2024" target="_blank" rel="noopener">cleaning</a> equipment suppliers to the Indian solar market in 2024. LEAPTING held a 9.8% market share in the robotic solar module cleaning equipment supplier industry.</p>
<p>In September 2025, LEAPTIING signed an agreement to supply dry-hung automated guided cleaning robots and their supporting systems in batches for a 450 MW solar power project in Rajasthan.</p>
<p>Robotic solar module cleaning equipment suppliers believe that automating module cleaning can potentially help consumers <a href="https://www.mercomindia.com/robotic-solar-module-cleaning-is-six-times-cheaper-than-traditional-means" target="_blank" rel="noopener">save</a> six times more than traditional module cleaning methods.</p>
<p>Robotic cleaning enhances the performance of solar panels and energy output. This method proves more effective than manual water-based cleaning, ensuring higher module efficiency. Periodic removal of dust and corrosive substances helps modules extend their lifespan and optimize generation.</p>
<p>Speaking at Mercom India’s RE Buyer Seller Meet in Pune, Yogesh Kudale, Chief Executive Officer at Taypro, stated that when customers opt for traditional cleaning, they spend approximately ₹1 (~$0.0116) to ₹1.2 (~$0.014) per module, including water expenses. “However, that cost comes down to ₹0.2 (~$0.002) per module if a customer goes for robotic cleaning.”</p>

<p>Langfang Sol-Bright New Energy Technology and Airtouch Solar followed, accounting for 18.8% and 13%, respectively. Vayu Solar and LEAPTING rounded off the top five, with 11.1% and 9.8% market shares, respectively.</p>
<p>The top five companies shipped over 80% of the cleaning equipment used in the solar projects during the year.</p>

<p>In 2024, several entities floated tenders for the comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&amp;M) totaling around 340 MW of ground-mounted and rooftop solar projects. The scope of work of these projects includes regular cleaning of solar modules.</p>
<p>All of the top five robotic cleaning companies experienced a significant year-over-year (YoY) rise in shipments.</p>
<p>In 2024, Taypro supplied its module cleaning equipment to a 360 MW solar project in Rajasthan.</p>
<p>Sol-Bright supplied module cleaning equipment to the 3.5 GW Khavda Solar Project in Gujarat.</p>
<p>Airtouch Solar announced in April 2024 that it had secured a $6 million order from Adani Green Energy (<a href="https://www.adanigreenenergy.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">AGEL</a>) to supply robotic dry cleaning equipment in Rajasthan. In October 2024, Airtouch Solar received an order from <a href="https://www.junipergreenenergy.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Juniper Green Energy</a> for the supply and installation of robotic cleaning equipment for a solar project in Rajasthan.</p>
<p>Vayu Solar supplied its module cleaning equipment to a 200 MW solar project in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.</p>

Aegeus Technologies and Langfang Sol-Bright Photovoltaic Technology rounded off the top five, with 10.1% and 8.4% market shares, respectively.</p>
<p>The top five companies shipped 78.3% of the cleaning equipment used in the country’s solar projects during the first half of the year.</p>

<p>LEAPTING’s shipment grew 1,528% compared to 1H 2023. Vayu Solar’s shipments rose 977.1% year-over-year, and in 1H 2024, Vayu Solar supplied its module cleaning equipment to a 200 MW solar project in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.</p>
<p>Shipments by Airtouch Solar were up 900% YoY. Airtouch Solar announced that it had secured a $6 million order from Adani Green Energy (<a href="https://www.adanigreenenergy.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">AGEL</a>) to supply robotic dry cleaning equipment for AGEL’s project in Rajasthan.</p>
<p>Aegeus raised an undisclosed amount in 1H 2024 from Caspian Debt for its working capital requirements and business expansion.</p>
